About MRL Cooling Tower Software
Software Notes
¤ All software utilizes dual units (US customary and SI) except where noted
¤ IDCF, IDXF, FDCF and NDCF can model cooling tower performance with both fresh and seawater
¤ All software is copy protected. Source code is not provided
¤ The look and feel of the software is exactly like the version provided by MRL on 3.5 in. floppy disks. It is pure DOS and as such, not mouse active
¤ A completely revised PowerPoint user manual in PDF format is included on the USB flash drive for all programs purchased
IDCF - Rating/sizing of evaporative, induced-draft, counter flow cooling towers
¤ Design a new induced draft cooling tower based on design conditions or predict performance of an existing cooling tower
¤ Includes the latest fill data from leading suppliers
IDXF - Rating/sizing of evaporative, induced-draft, cross flow cooling towers
¤ Design a new induced-draft cross flow cooling tower based on design conditions or predict performance of an existing cooling tower
¤ Includes the latest fill data from leading suppliers
FDCF - Rating/sizing of evaporative, forced-draft, counter flow cooling towers
¤ Design a new forced-draft counter flow cooling tower based on design conditions or predict performance of an existing cooling tower
¤ Includes the latest fill data from leading suppliers
NDCF - Rating/sizing of evaporative, natural-draft, counter flow cooling towers
¤ Design a new natural draft cooling tower based on design conditions or predict performance of an existing cooling tower
¤ Fill sections can be comprised of up to three different fills
¤ The fill plan area can be segmented into 16 concentric rings for exacting fill placement
NDXF - Rating/sizing of evaporative, natural-draft, cross flow cooling towers
¤ Design a new natural-draft cross flow cooling tower based on design conditions or predict performance of an existing cooling tower
¤ Includes the latest fill data from leading suppliers
CFPC - Performance curve plotting for induced-draft cooling towers
¤ For both induced-draft counter flow and cross flow towers (not applicable for natural draft)
¤ Produces performance curves that meet CTI ATC-105 criteria (WBT vs CWT, with range as the parameter for each water flow)
¤ Graphs can be printed to a PDF printer or directly to a hard copy printer
